**MANY Updates!!**

Wow, time flies! I made it a goal when I started this blog to update it every week, and look how far I have fallen behind. Ouch! From here on out, I will promise to be much better and provide an update more often.

Where to start...there is so much that has happened since the end of May I don't know what to touch on first. I am just shy of 29 weeks, and the countdown is officially on! Only 11 weeks to go until I reach my due date. For those that have not seen me in awhile, here is a semi-recent photo (27 weeks) of my baby bump. She is definitely growing in there, and the doctor said she is measuring on time. Everything has been going very smoothly as I have made my way in to the final 3rd trimester, and I am very thankful for that.
Baby Aubrey is a VERY active baby! She is a mover and a shaker in my tummy. Brett and I have fun with her and have started playing little "games" with her to get her to respond back. It is very fun to see a little bit of her personality start to show through her movements from within. She has been in the same position since 20 weeks (confirmed by the doctor). Her head is down, and will most likely stay down until she decides to show herself to the world. So her butt is up near my ribs, and she likes to shake it and groove in there. Most often at night I will catch her little butt going back and forth from the outside of my skin. Whenever it happens, it makes me giggle so hard. I think it is adorable - but when it first happened I could not believe it! Have you ever watched those movies where an alien was growing inside a human and you see the alien moving inside the skin of a human? That is what this looks like, and it was freaky at first. But I just love it and love feeling her move. She is also a strong kicker, we have a potential awesome soccer player on our hands, or maybe she will kick butt in freestyle as a swimmer! She kicks pretty often, especially after I eat. And Daddy Brett has definitely found a form of communication with her. At night when she is usually the most active, Brett usually taps his fingers three times on my belly. She usually responds right back at him with a good strong kick. She does not like to be pushed on in there, so she'll usually kick right on back at ya. The first time Brett felt her he put his ear to my belly to see if he could hear her heartbeat in there, and she gave him a good solid whack to his face. It was hilarious - but we all know she is going to be a big time Daddy's girl!
Another milestone that we just hit were Aubrey's first set of hiccups. I knew that it was possible for the baby to get hiccups in there while their lungs are developing and they are learning how to take breaths, but the feeling of hiccups from inside is so weird. She got her hiccups just the other night, and I felt so bad for her. I just wanted to pick her up and hug her because she had them so bad, but they eventually stopped after 10 minutes or so.
We are getting so excited as it is getting closer to meet her - just enjoying our last summer as only the two of us, and then we cannot wait to meet her and have her in our lives. I will plan to update soon with more news!
